Chrysler Pacifica's Most Common Radio Code Triggers
Your radio may lock automatically when it loses power.
These are the some typical scenarios that activate the radio code prompt.
Radio Lock After Battery Replacement
After a battery change, your radio may lock.
This happens because the radio loses power, which activates the security lock.
More Situations Causing the Issue
- After an ECU or software reset, the radio may enter security mode.
- A fuse removal can cause the Chrysler Pacifica radio to lock.
- Installing a used head unit will require the original anti-theft code.
- Jump-starting the vehicle can trigger anti-theft mode, requiring the unlock code.
What is a Pacifica Radio Code?
When the radio is disconnected from power, it immediately locks and requires an anti-theft code to be entered before it can be used again.
A radio unlock code (also known as an anti-theft code) is a built-in security system integrated into original car stereos to prevent theft.
This system ensures that a stolen radio becomes useless without the correct code.
Entering the valid code returns full stereo and infotainment functionality.
No-Cost Options First
Want free Chrysler Pacifica Radio Code? Actually, you may already have it.
In few cases, the code may already be available in the vehicle or in the documentation.
Check these places to save time and money before using an online lookup tool.
Below are the most reliable places to look.
Check the Vehicle Paperwork
- Inside the glovebox, sometimes on a label.
- In your maintenance booklet from the previous owner.
- In the trunk, on a radio label.
- On the head unit itself, if it was serviced earlier.
- In the owner's manual, often on a code card.
Can the Dealer Help?
A Chrysler dealer can usually look up the radio code using your Pacifica's vehicle identification number.
In most cases, you need to visit or contact them and prove ownership.
Once verified, they can generate the original unlock code for your radio.
Not Always Ideal:
- Dealers often ask for payment for the lookup service and it can cost more than 100$.
- The process can take hours depending on the model and database.
- You usually need to book an appointment and bring vehicle paperwork.
- Some older Chrysler Pacifica radios may not be supported.
Searching for the Serial Number on Your Radio
To retrieve the correct radio code, you will need the serial number from your Chrysler Pacifica's radio unit.
You may be able to find it on the radio body. Common labels to look for: S/N, SN, Serial, Serial Number.
1. Displaying the Serial Number on the Pacifica Screen
2004–2008 Pacifica SUV
The original Pacifica was a crossover SUV on the LH platform, completely separate from the modern minivan. It used MyGig navigation or a base Chrysler radio. No Dealer Mode exists on these units.
The serial number is printed on a label on the radio chassis — physical removal is the only option. See the removal guide below.
2017+ Pacifica Minivan
The 2017+ Pacifica is an entirely different vehicle — a modern front-wheel-drive minivan on the Giorgio-derived platform, fitted with Uconnect 8.4" NEW.
Press the bottom-left + bottom-right edges of the plastic bezel frame (not the glass) simultaneously. Hold until Dealer Mode opens.
Navigate: System Info → Radio Part Info → Serial Number.
The serial number is a 14-character alphanumeric code (e.g. T00AM394958584). The 2017+ Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) Pacifica uses the same Uconnect system and identical bezel method.
2. Locating the Serial on the Radio Itself
To find the serial number, you'll need to remove the radio unit from the dashboard.
- Start by turning off the vehicle and taking off the dashboard bezel.
- Next, release the clips and pull the unit forward to check the label on the back of the radio. Be careful not to damage the cables that the unit is connected to.
- Write down full serial number precisely and then come back to the website.
- Know that serial number and part number are not the same. You will find both of them on the sticker, but you only need for the serial.
Physical Radio Removal for Chrysler Pacifica

Usual Serial Formats on Chrysler Pacifica Radios
The radio uses serials starting with T00AM (14 chars), TM9, or A2C (newer Uconnect). The serial label is on the body of the radio unit — not visible without removal on most models.

You Found the Corresponding Code. How the Entering Process Works?
With your code ready, it's time to input it into the Chrysler Pacifica's radio.
The locked radio will usually show a "CODE" prompt.
Use the radio presets or a rotary dial to select each number, then press OK to unlock the stereo.
On Chrysler Pacifica with Uconnect 4/4C (2017+):
- The large touchscreen displays "ENTER CODE".
- Use the on-screen number pad to enter your 4-digit unlock code.
- After all 4 digits are entered, the system unlocks automatically.
Note: Newer Pacifica models (2020+) may have Dealer Mode restricted. Use the screen bezel edge method or remove the radio.
