Where to find your serial number
Top of the chassis, near the back-right corner on a printed white sticker. Pull the radio out via four 7mm bolts behind the dash trim - the Panasonic chassis carries no menu shortcut for displaying the serial.
Format on the label: TM9##### or T0MYD##### (5 digits). Example: TM942018.
How to enter the code once you receive it
On the locked boot screen the four-digit keypad fills the lower half of the touchscreen. Tap the digits in order; the radio auto-verifies on the fourth digit and unlocks straight away. No OK button needed.
Why your radio is locked
Any loss of 12V power longer than around a minute - dead battery, battery swap, jump-start failure, or pulling the unit out of the dash during repair.
If you entered the wrong code
Three wrong codes triggers "WAIT" for 30 minutes. Keep the key in RUN or ACC so the timer counts down; the timer pauses (and resets) if power is cut.
