Uconnect 5 VP2.5 DT is the Delphi-built 5-inch touchscreen Uconnect fitted to base-trim Ram 1500 DT (fifth-generation Ram) - small flush-mounted screen above the climate panel, AM/FM, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, USB, no built-in maps. Base-trim audio package on the DT body.

If your Ram 1500 DT has the large 8.4-inch or 12-inch portrait screen dominating the centre stack, you have a Uconnect 8.4 (UJM) or Uconnect 5 NAV 12-inch - not this 5-inch unit. VP2.5 DT part numbers cluster in the 68292223 range.
Where to find your serial number
Top of the chassis on a white sticker, slightly toward the rear edge. Two T20 Torx screws on each side release the dash bezel; pull the radio forward by 4 inches and read the label from above. No on-screen serial display in lock mode.
Format on the label: T0MYD##### (5 digits). Example: T0MYD30912.
How to enter the code once you receive it
On the locked 5-inch screen, a four-digit keypad appears with the prompt "ENTER CODE". Tap the digits in order; the radio verifies on the fourth digit and unlocks immediately on a match. No separate OK button.
Why your radio is locked
Loss of 12V supply to the radio - battery replacement, dead battery, or radio removal. Fleet Ram 1500 trucks frequently see this after upfitter work that disconnects the battery.
If you entered the wrong code
Three wrong attempts triggers a 30-minute "INCORRECT CODE - WAIT" countdown. Keep ignition in RUN or ACC; the timer pauses if power is removed and restarts at 30 minutes when power returns.
