Is this your radio?

REQ Alpine is the Alpine-audio variant of the NTG4-refresh MyGIG used through 2013 - same 6.5-inch touchscreen with HDD navigation as REL but with the highest-output Alpine amp package, often paired with subwoofer-equipped trims (Durango Citadel, Ram Laramie Longhorn, Grand Cherokee WK2 Overland).

Chrysler vehicles with Chrysler REQ Alpine

  • 2011-2013: Chrysler 300 (Alpine premium), Town & Country Limited Platinum
  • 2011-2013: Dodge Durango Citadel, Charger R/T Plus, Challenger SRT8
  • 2011-2013: Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 Overland, Summit (Alpine premium audio)
  • 2011-2013: Ram 1500/2500/3500 Laramie Longhorn, Limited (Alpine premium)
Not sure if this is your radio?

REQ uses the broadest Alpine part-number range in the MyGIG era - P05064111/112/113, P05064920-923, P05064931-933, P05064940-951, P05107099, P68035036/038, P68050442, P68252826. If yours falls in any of these ranges, REQ is correct. Harman RHR/RHW carry separate numbers.

Where to find your serial number

Top of the chassis, white sticker near the back-right corner. Removal is required - on Ram Laramie applications the trim bezel has four 7mm bolts (two at the top, two at the bottom) plus side clips; on Grand Cherokee WK2 the bezel pries off with a plastic tool and two T20 Torx hold the radio rails.

Format on the label: TQ1AA / TT1AA / T**AA (10-character T-prefix). Example: TT1AA7702331.

How to enter the code once you receive it

On the locked screen, tap the four digits on the on-screen keypad then tap the green check (lower right). The CODE soft key recalls the keypad if it has been dismissed. REQ does not auto-verify on the fourth digit - you must tap the check mark.

Why your radio is locked

Loss of 12V - dead battery, battery service, jump-start failure, alternator replacement, or removal of the head unit. Ram trucks with aftermarket lights drawing constant load on the radio fuse sometimes see this after extended parking.

If you entered the wrong code

Three wrong codes shows "WAIT" with a 60-minute countdown. Power must remain applied for the timer to count down - cutting ignition resets it. The radio never permanently locks.
