REL spans a wide part-number range (P05064053, P05064925, P05064927, P05064944/945, P05064954/955, P05107096, P68252828). If your speakers are badged Alpine and the radio looks like a MyGIG with 6.5-inch touchscreen and HDD nav, REL is most likely. Harman RER carries a separate part-number set.
Where to find your serial number
Top of the chassis on a white sticker, slightly right of centre. Three 7mm bolts and two clips release the dash bezel; the radio slides forward by about four inches and the label is visible from above. Harness disconnect is not required to read the label.
Format on the label: TQ1AA / TT1AA / T**AA (10-character T-prefix). Example: TQ1AA9034182.
How to enter the code once you receive it
On the locked screen, the four-digit touchscreen keypad fills the centre. Tap the digits in order then tap the green check (lower right). If the keypad is missing, tap the CODE soft key in the lower row.
Why your radio is locked
Loss of constant 12V - dead battery, battery replacement, alternator service, body-shop repairs that disconnect the battery, or removal of the radio from the dash. The most common report on REL is from Ram trucks after a winter dead-battery jump.
If you entered the wrong code
Three wrong entries triggers a 60-minute "WAIT" countdown on screen. Keep the ignition in RUN or ACC for the timer to count down - cutting power resets it to 60 minutes. Once the timer expires the keypad reactivates and the correct code clears the screen.
